Privacy Policy

Liten AI Writer is a Chrome extension that helps you fill text inputs, dropdowns, and form fields on any website using AI-generated content. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

By installing or using Liten AI Writer, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have questions, reach out at sarthakrastogi.ai@gmail.com.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
• User context — text you explicitly provide as context for AI generation (e.g. a bio, preferences, or background information). This is used solely to personalise generated content.
• Selected page text — text you manually select on a page and choose to add to your context. We do not automatically capture any page content.
• Generation requests — when you trigger the AI writer, the relevant input field context and your stored context are sent to our API to generate a response. We do not log the content of the web pages you visit.

We do not collect browsing history, keystrokes, passwords, or any data from pages you visit passively.

You choose where your context is stored:

• Local storage — context is saved only on your device and never leaves it, except when sent to our API at the moment of generation.
• Liten cloud storage — context is synced to our servers so you can access it across devices. It is encrypted at rest and in transit.

In both cases, your context is encrypted. We do not sell, share, or use your context for any purpose other than generating content on your behalf.

We use your data exclusively to:

• Authenticate your account and provide access to the service.
• Generate AI content when you explicitly trigger the extension.
• Sync your context across devices if you choose cloud storage.
• Respond to support requests you send us.

We do not use your data to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Liten AI Writer relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Gemini API — our backend at www.liten.tech/api/writer uses Gemini to generate content. Your context and the active input's surrounding text are sent to this API. Google's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Auth0 — we use Auth0 for authentication. Auth0's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

The extension requests the following browser permissions, and only uses them as described:

• activeTab / scripting — to detect text inputs and inject the writer icon on the current page when you interact with it.
• storage — to save your context and preferences locally on your device.
• identity — to authenticate your account.

The extension does not read page content unless you explicitly click the writer icon on an input field or manually select text to add to your context.

You can delete your context at any time from the extension or the website. If you delete your account, all cloud-stored context and account data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

To request account deletion, email sarthakrastogi.ai@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete my account".

All data transmitted between the extension, our API, and cloud storage is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Context stored in the cloud is encrypted at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it to sarthakrastogi.ai@gmail.com.

Liten AI Writer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we will notify you via the extension or by email.
